About the Role
The Senior Gateman is responsible for greeting guests and visitors, managing access to the hotel and surrounding estate, and supporting the front-of-house and security teams. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, and a guest-first attitude.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and guide arriving and departing guests and visitors

Control entry via gates, barriers, and security systems

Monitor traffic flow and direct vehicles to appropriate parking areas

Maintain accurate logs of visitors and vehicle movements
-
Check IDs and screen vehicles when necessary
-
Work with the security team to report issues and ensure guest safety

Address complaints or concerns courteously and efficiently

Ensure only authorized individuals gain access to the property
Requirements
-
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
-
CXC passes including English
-
Excellent verbal communication, writing, and basic computation skills
-
Valid Barbados driver’s license with a clean driving record

Knowledge of the area and resort layout

Calm, empathetic, and confident under pressure

Honest, trustworthy, and reliable
-
Strong team player with outstanding customer service skills
