About the Role

A full-time opportunity is now open for a Maintenance Coordinator within the Facilities and Operations Department. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely maintenance resolutions at student housing in Coverley. You’ll be the central point of contact for work orders, coordinating with landlords, students, and the operations team while upholding a high standard of customer service and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and assign maintenance tickets through the maintenance software
  • Conduct site visits to verify or assess issues as needed
  • Follow up with landlords and update students on maintenance progress
  • Liaise with the Student Government Association to gather housing feedback
  • Monitor and report on outstanding and overdue maintenance tickets
  • Assist with student check-in/out procedures and housing inspections
  • Provide on-call support for emergency maintenance needs (after-hours/weekends)
  • Maintain records and prepare KPI reports
  • Implement satisfaction surveys and recommend service improvements
  • Attend maintenance-related meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure clear, professional communication with landlords, technicians, and students

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • City & Guilds Certificate in Engineering (Construction, Industrial, or Mechanical focus)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance engineering, operations, or facilities management
  • Experience in property inspections, plumbing, and house repairs is an asset
