Job Description
A private sector organization is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support procurement operations, supplier management, and inventory coordination.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines

Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with suppliers

Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment

Manage inventory levels and avoid shortages or overstocking
-
Monitor market trends to ensure competitive purchasing
-
Maintain strong supplier relationships
-
Coordinate with internal departments on purchasing needs
-
Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures
-
Keep accurate records of purchases, orders, and invoices
-
Resolve supply chain issues and discrepancies as needed
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)

Previous experience as a Purchasing Officer, Buyer, or similar role
-
Strong negotiation and communication skills
-
Familiarity with procurement and inventory processes
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an asset

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
-
High attention to detail and effective problem-solving
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
