About the Role
The Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation is seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Manager to lead its commercial operations. This includes oversight of retail outlets, wholesale distribution, and cold storage logistics. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, supply chain expertise, and the ability to align strategy with evolving market demands.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all commercial operations including retail, wholesale, and cold storage logistics

Manage procurement and inventory to maintain optimal stock and reduce loss

Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with corporate goals

Analyze market trends and competitor actions to guide pricing and promotion

Negotiate with local and international suppliers for cost-effective terms

Expertise in supply chain, inventory control, and cold storage operations

Proven use of data and systems for strategic decision-making

Knowledge of Barbados labour laws and employee relations

Qualifications

BSc in Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in the retail or wholesale sector
