About the Opportunity
The Business and Employment Centre is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to support one of our client’s Human Resources teams. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity ideal for someone based in Barbados who is eager to gain hands-on experience in HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement.
Please note: Only applicants currently based in Barbados will be considered.

As the HR Intern, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of HR functions while contributing to key processes and projects. This internship is perfect for someone who is passionate about building a career in human resources and is looking to learn and grow in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment: post job ads, screen resumes, and schedule interviews

Support onboarding and offboarding activities

Maintain employee records and update HR databases

Help organize training sessions and engagement initiatives

Draft HR documents and internal communications

Provide general admin support for the HR team

Participate in ongoing HR projects and improvements

Ensure confidentiality of sensitive HR data
Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate degree in HR, Business Admin, Psychology, or a related field

Strong organization and time-management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
